If anyone has followed this game since it’s Genesis, it’s actually been in development for over thirteen years. This game aims to marry Sonic’s arcade gameplay with adult themes but does the game do this successfully? We find out in our review of Project X: Love Potion Disaster. Then perhaps somewhat like Babysitting Cream mostly due to the adult themes and links to the Sonic franchise.

This game plays rather like the original 2D scrollers in the Sonic the Hedgehog series as well as other arcade scrollers like Ecco The Dolphin, Celeste, Sonic Mania. However, the one we will be focusing on today will be Project X: Love Potion Disaster. It seems that Sonic the Hedgehog is no different and the supersonic hedgehog has been the subject of a number of these titles. Yet if one was to research the topic, you would find that a number of children’s cartoons and gaming franchises have been adapted into adult content. The losing animations alone are so impressive.As an outsider looking in, you would assume that adult games rarely made use of child friendly content. Other than that the development on this game has gone far beyond anything I ever expected. Only thing I can think of to suggest is maybe asking a native English speaker to make the text portions sound a bit more natural. But all of it is really good and really appreciated. There's so much detail in this game now I'm scared it's going to burn you out before you ever get to the end. The fact there was new animations, unique for each character, to that too impresses me. My only complaint about it is that I wish the rings themselves had shadows because it's really hard to tell where they are on the water sometimes.Įnd bit after beating abyss surprised me but it was a welcome surprise. Still haven't beaten it yet but I'll get there. It caught me by surprise but I had fun playing it. Little details like improvements to the counter are nice too. Also that new Spider animation moves that little guy up pretty high to have one of the best attack animations of the group. I still like all the little details, like the ship in the background of the abyss stage. Not sure if she's improved from the last games but my god, just her dash attack alone.ĭetails on the new stages are noticeable and a nice addition. If I never wanted to be touched playing her, I wouldn't be. The characters all looked good before but the detail in these two now is amazing. Her special attack is much more effective now too. Rouge I didn't notice immediately but all the new bits of animation caught my eye. Okay so first off wow, the New Amy and Rouge look amazing. In the end, it all boils down to me eagerly awaiting Pumpkin Kingdom! If my review seemed scant, I tried to avoid spoilers and realized all of my favorite parts are spoilers. Eggman is my favorite part of that whole sequence, by the way! Is there a way to knock some obstacles out of the way? Pressing the attack button makes a noise like you are attacking, and I keep forgetting to check when I get there. One point of issue, the special stage for Atlantis Ruins is difficult for me, but perhaps you could answer some questions to help me through it. When the evil female characters show up during the arena mode, they always do some absurdly hot taunt. I like how now Abyss makes sense as to why it is this way. Any chance of those showing up in the gallery? Speaking of which, a few of the load screens pass too quickly for me to see the artwork. Although I was disappointed she doesn't appear in the gallery yet. I'm in love with Venus now! She's just so deliciously seductive and evil. New Layout for the game, with different colors, different fonts and new icons and little details. Win Poses for the characters when they beat the Bosses or important events. New animated Game Over screens for each character and stage. New interactive cutscene for the introduction of Stage 4. Revamped Cutscenes, with the option to pass the text quick pressin the attack button. Revamped Abyss, nerfed, making him slower and with a bit less life. Revamped Backgrounds for all the Stages. Yayyy after a year and a lot of troubles, finally we have a huge release!
